Melanoma is one of the four most common types of skin cancer. Australia also happens to have some of the highest incidences of Melanoma diagnosed in nearly 1 in 10 of all cancer. It can occur as a result of genetic predisposition or from increased exposure to UV radiation.

All forms of Melanoma should be surgically removed. Each patient needs to be reviewed by our doctor and appropriate treatment and ongoing skincare plan are developed to suit your specific case.

Doctor Zenel has received advanced training in the detection and removal of skin cancers. Typically, she will remove the suspected area of skin along with a good margin of normal skin. The specimen will be sent away for pathology laboratory assessment.
